About

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6

Just like Gracie Andersen, Laurinda Wallace grew up in rural Western New York, where everyone knows you and lends a hand like plowing out your snow-filled driveway or sending over a casserole when you’re sick. It’s a place where cows outnumber humans, and the county fair is the biggest event of the year.

Writing as a career was just a dream when Laurinda married her high-school sweetheart, had two beautiful daughters, worked as a paralegal, then in college administration, trained a therapy dog, and finished a business degree. Then, on the cusp of an empty nest, she and her husband moved to the high desert of southeastern Arizona. While entering this new phase of life, the opportunity to write came along, and the Gracie Andersen mysteries were created, along with several other novels and nonfiction works.

A doting grandma to a crew of handsome grandsons, she enjoys hiking,  making bread, doing historical research, and plotting the next mystery.
